we are two students at the end of our three-year degree course in Product and Nautical Design; but the road that has led us to this point is not the same. Simone was born in 1999 in Pietrasanta, province of Lucca; he grows up and lives in Querceta; he soon became passionate about drawing and technical drawings: this is how he therefore chooses to study at the Institute of Surveyors. At the end of this path he enters the world of work, covering the role of marble worker in the naval sector; it was during this period that he immersed himself more and more in the nautical field, deciding to deepen his knowledge by starting his university career.
Nicola was born in 1998 in Pietrasanta; since he was a child he has been passionate about drawing and this undoubtedly leads him to choose the Liceo Artistico as a school to attend; growing up in Viareggio he is constantly immersed in the nautical world; moreover, his family has worked for generations in the naval sector and, after two years as a naval mechanical blacksmith, he decides to reconcile the two passions in what is the University of Nautical Design.
And after a few months, despite the advent of the pandemic, our partnership was born and it led us to pass many exams and difficulties arising from the various university projects supported. The effectiveness of our group is probably the result of our different trainings which allowed us to combine the strengths of each one, filling the existing lacks as much as possible. And it is thanks to this collaboration that, project after project, we even reached the unexpected victory of the Sea Design Contest 2022.
