Founder & Designer at Stella Orlandino
Stella Orlandino, independent Italian designer, born in 1989. After graduating in Product Design at Naba in Milan in 2011, she opened her own design studio and collaborated with several national and international realities in the world of coffee and industrial design.
The most successful projects have been exhibited at Milan Design week, at Triennale di Milano, in Turin during Operae and at Materia, independent design festival in Catanzaro and presented during important trade fairs such as Host, Sigep and Salone del Mobile. Stella Orlandino's interest in handcrafted production techniques closely linked to the territory and her obsessive attention to detail have quickly become her recognizable signature.
Her projects are based on a constant search for innovation through simple forms, inspired by the world of food design, materiality and gestures. In recent years he has been experimenting with the self-production of some limited edition projects, starting from a deep reflection on the high craftsmanship of southern Italy and its cultural roots.
These products have the need to tell a story made of intertwining of tradition, innovation and poetry. Stella Orlandino likes to sketch, unravel and then reassemble each piece, with a simple design, without frills, but with a strong family value: for the designer the object is nothing but the basis of a series of existential rites.
