Founder & Design Leader at Steve Kozloff Designs
Born in 1954, Steve Kozloff is an engineer, a self-taught engineer. Steve’s collective expertise began from the time he was 8 years old when he was designing yachts and cliff dwelling homes. Steve’s father, Alex Kozloff was a significant influence, a man with a large presence in the nautical world as an aerospace and nautical engineer, world class designer, racer, and winner of the 1976 Little America’s Cup.
In partnership with his wife, Terry, they own Steve Kozloff Designs. Steve has designed the detailed concepts of mega-yachts, aircraft, an expedition vehicle, and a container ship. Of the highly publicized designs are the Trident trimaran, Pegasus VTOL aircraft, G-Global cargo ship, and the NIMBL Evolution Expedition Campers. Ah, but Steve is not just an engineer but a humble person who quietly embodies skills that most are not aware. He is a craftsman of many disciplines. Steve is a jeweler of fine jewelry, a carpenter, an electrician, a builder, a mechanic, a plumber, and graphic designer.
Beyond how Steve is described above, he is also a man who fell in love with a woman whose youngest child was deaf-blind and used a wheelchair. He became aware of the world of disabilities and travelled circles he did not previously know or understand. The result, AMJaMB a company that supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their own homes and in employment.
Because of this experience, accessibility is always at the forefront of Steve’s mind.
