Founder and Yacht Designer at Rivellini Studio
Valerio Rivellini is a Neapolitan engineer and yacht designer born in 1978. With a past as a sailing instructor and skipper, since opening his studio in 2009 - Valerio Rivellini Engineering & Design - has been working with several shipyards, including Blu Emme Yachts, Gozzi Mimì and Italmarine, alongside designing several custom boats.
In 2021 he signed two very important projects: the Extended Explorer concept, a fascinating almost 56 meters long Explorer, that offers the reliability of military vehicles together with the comfort of the most luxurious pleasure yachts, and Evo V8, a 24-meter flagship by Evo Yachts, a Blu Emme Yachts’ brand. One of the best perks of the Evo V8 is its capability to adapt to different uses and the ambition to offer a new way of cruising as a meeting point between the world of sailing and the motor yachts one.
All his projects are very different in kind and size (ranging from simple tenders to megayachts over 50 meters) and share a great innovative nature, that is the result of continuous research and analysis aimed at satisfying different types of owners and trends in the nautical world, often trying to find the meeting point between very different suggestions, such as sailing or power but also the military boats sector. Attention to detail and technological innovation are fundamental aspects of Rivellini’s work.
His desire to venture in terms of aesthetics often translates into the need for creative and technological innovation, making every project a new challenge. According to Rivellini, design and engineering blend together, allowing him to design with a completely different approach. The perfect union of form and function, a distinguishing feature of Rivellini’s work, reveals the dual personality of the creative engineer who can transform what is in his mind into reality.
His tireless efforts to achieve the perfect balance between modernity and tradition also find fertile ground outside the yachting sector, and in fact the Naples-based engineer is also active in the industrial and car design, working on a range of products from industrial vehicles to laminated wood and carbon bicycles.
