Director of Lima Design Week
Teresa Edwards Peruvian by birth, grew up in Buenos Aires studying Interior Design and architecture and then completed her career at the Ricardo Palma University in Lima Peru where she is currently a professor in the same house of study in the Hospitality career, Tourism and Gastronomy and administrator of the Ccori Wasi Cultural Center of the aforementioned university.
Founder of DIPRAP - non-profit association - "Associated Professional Interior Designers of Peru" since 2011, currently becoming a nationwide integration association for all design disciplines.
Throughout these years DIPRAP has developed national and international competitions, biennials, courses and exhibitions aimed at students and professionals, with the aim of promoting architecture and design. Founder of Lima Design Week - LDW since 2013, being the International and National Design Icon Party, where various design, educational and cultural activities are carried out.
Platform for the integration of art, culture and different design demonstrations, whose main objectives are to spread the importance of design as a link for social development, connect local, national and international creative communities, and promote creativity and innovation, always in relation to new technologies.
Since its inception LDW has been developing new activities promoting creativity and supporting local entrepreneurship, from this IX edition a new regional integration program begins, with the participation of three regions of the coast, mountains and jungle: Piura, Ayacucho and Loreto being the most representative of the country.
LDW has been a member since 2017 of the World Design Week, an entity that integrates the Festivals and Design Weeks in the world promoting its annual activities.
