Giovanni Antonelli Dudan, architect, interior designer, designer, classical high school diploma and degree in 1995 from the Milan Polytechnic, faculty of architecture, specialization in restoration and conservation.
After the first years of apprenticeship between Milan and Rome, I approached the profession and the market by opening my own studio from a young age together with my colleague Michela Spinola, current studio partner. I began my activity in the "space planning for commercial offices" and later I ventured into the residential world, with the interior design of apartments and villas.
The 2000s are characterized by numerous projects with different and unconventional forms in the conversion of industrial spaces into workplaces; it is the moment in which the New Economy is born. In recent years we have returned to designing work spaces, and we have tried to give our own vision of the new office space, designing layouts in step with the new functions and fittings in line with the new needs for comfort and well-being.
A rich and amusing interlude between 2009 and 2014 materializes in the design of SPAs and fitness centres, where we can try our hand at the aesthetic part, above all by working on the sensations in the warm spaces in the SPAs.
A transversal and recurring design, which contributes to the 360-degree training of the studio, is that from 2004 to today in the catering field. It began with the bringing up to standards of small food markets and over the years has resulted in the technical and aesthetic design of restaurants and bars, up to the last work for Alessandro Borghese, for whom we have taken care of the design of every detail of the restaurant hall.
Together with my partner Michela Spinola we also take care of the design of entire buildings, where the study of the interiors merges with the language of the facades. The latest and most recent work is the collaborative design of a residential building in an important Milanese square, MILO 22.
In my personal journey there have also been brief but formative experiences abroad, in Monaco and Abu Dhabi where the comparison with foreign and local studies has enriched and completed us, giving strength to my creativity and that of the studio.
In the home world, we have always dealt with custom-made fittings and furnishings, mixing fashion and interior design, evaluating the color and texture choices from time to time, collaborating with international brands.
Last but not least, we have dealt with the preparation of exhibitions and installations, including the VITE exhibition on the victims of terrorism, organized in Milan with particular interest by the Municipality itself.
In recent years we have approached the world of design as a natural corollary and completion of our design activity. ADI member since 2021, I have been experimenting with design projects such as our latest project "Planet", where the focus is on trying to give a new face and a new shape to the work space.
I take care of the creative part of the studio but I have always loved the construction site as the only school and gym to learn the trade.
