Founder & Yacht Designer at Mirko Oprandi Yacht Design
My name is Mirko Oprandi and I love to design boats. Since I was a child, I was curious about drawings, sailing and boating in general. I did high school in Genova, studying boat construction. Later I did naval engineering and architecture.
Meanwhile, I was working as captain of many yachts around med, during summer. I started working in a shipyard as soon as I finished university. I worked in Overmarine Mangusta, Rossinavi, J&J design and after a qualitative experience, in 2020 I decided to open my own design office, and I started immediately working on many interesting projects, meeting amazing people in this field.
We made projects for Viareggio Super Yacht, Sanlorenzo, Fiart, Bluegame, and many others. At the same time, I understood the importance of research and development related to ecologic technologies. Here the idea of Titanium as building material: completely green, reciclable and able to resist in sea ambient without any peinture.
At the moment, I'm doing consultancy for various shipyards, and at the same time promoting my own design projects and promoting green technology.
