Designer and Art Director
Raffaella Mangiarotti is an architect and designer. She lives and works in Milan. Graduated in architecture, she had a doctorate in environmental design, and she’s researcher in Politecnico di Milano.
After a collaboration with Marco Zanuso and Francesco Trabucco, she founded deepdesign with Matteo Bazzicalupo, designing innovative and mass products for important companies, including Smeg, Whirlpool, Daimler Chrysler. In 2010 she founded Raffaella Mangiarotti studio where she specializes in art direction, furniture design, showrooms and exhibition stands, designing for brands at national and international level.
Some of her products are exhibited in museums and exhibitions, are part of permanent collections and have been recognized with the most important international awards. In 2017, 2018 and 2021 she was appointed Ambassador of Italian Design in the world.
