Yacht Designer at Wider
Hi everyone, I’m Cioffi Giuseppina but everybody call me Giusy. I’m 24 years old and i came from Macerata, a city in the center of Italy but i have Neapolitan origins. In my life I have always felt very close to the artistic word, in fact i studied design and i graduated in 2021 in Industrial design.
Freehand drawing has always been one of my greatest passions, fascinating for its ability to convey emotions through forms, giving shape to concepts and ideas hidden in creative minds. For this reason one of my favorite quotes is “the design is intelligence made visible “. Once i finished my studies, i became member of the technical Office of the Wider yachts Shipyard in Ancona.
Inside the design department we develop the most creative part of the boat, starting from conceptual sketches, 2D 3D modeling up to the definition of style and materials with interior and exterior rendering. Wider is an Italian yacht builder, pioneer of the hybrid serial propulsion system onboard luxury yachts.
Founded in 2010, the shipyard is now lead-by Marcello Maggi who heads W-Fin Sarl, the holding Company that owns 100% of WIDER’s equity.
The three main Wider facilities are based on the East coast of Italy, from Ancona, which is the headquarter, to the new cutting-edge facility in Fano and the new shipyard in Venice, where superyachts and full-custom projects will be built.
In 2022 Wider unveiled the new WiderCat 92, the first multihull in the history of the Marche-based shipyard and began the construction of the Moonflower 72 superyacht
