For nearly fifteen years, fresh timeless designs and meticulous attention to detail have earned Los Angeles-based design firm FORM Design Studio a devoted clientele and a portfolio of innovative, beautiful spaces.
FORM Design Studio is led by Emmy award winning designer Joshua Rose and Chinese medical practitioner Rafael Kalichstein. Joshua’s years in visual effects and production design for film and television offer a unique perspective in the field of design. Rafael had a nearly twenty-year journey in the world of Eastern healing and later became a certified practitioner of Black Hat Feng Shui, which practice he integrates into his design work.
The firm operates under two guiding principles. The first is that spaces speak; for a design to succeed it is imperative the designer listen; and second, that “everything is permissible as long as it is fantastic” (Carlo Mollino).
In 2019, FORM Design Studio launched a total home furnishings collection with industry giant Global Views, which product is available to the trade and at the retail level through Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.
FORM Design Studio designs for Mehraban Rugs, offering fine rugs in wool and silk constructions. In addition, giclée and hand-embellished reproductions of original artworks by the principal designers are available to the trade through LeftBank Art. The firm collaborates with Dempsey & Carroll to produce luxury stationery with a contemporary and organic bent.
