Founder at Sofia Calvo Designer
I am a designer and also an inventor in Lima Peru, where I studied at the "Toulouse Lautrec" Institute. There, I specialized in Product Design. I love design and I believe that it is a fundamental part in the formation of a better world. I am dedicated to making people have a smile on their faces and I bring my culture to the world by working on an international magazine called “The Designer”, located in the city of Stockholm in Sweden.
My vision led me to extend the magazine to the brother country of Colombia in Cali, weaving cultures, customs and art.
In 2015 I obtained second place worldwide with the "Magic Sphere" which is a product designed to help children with their allergy processes. In 2016, I was a finalist in my country with “Tray Girax”, a rotating food table for patients in hospitals and clinics.
In 2017, I got the winning banner in my country with “No More Lives Lost”, a joint project with Yad Vashem, the holocaust and the United Nations outreach program.
In 2018, I created a company called “Markkus Design Company”.
In 2019, I carried out product design projects and workshops in prisons with inmates deprived of their liberty, raising awareness of the value of caring for the planet and creating products with recycled materials.
In 2020, I participated in the international Kiwie 2020 contest, organized in Korea.
In 2021, I obtained the silver medal in Kiwie 2020, bringing one more achievement to my country, having as satisfaction the recognition of the President of the Republic of Peru.
